Advertising opportunities

If you have a product or service and looking for effective and efficient way to promote it, consider advertising it with My Free Telecom™.  My Free Telecom™ is a new revolutionary concept, where free long distance calls can be made in exchange for listening to advertisement.

Our callers appreciate what they receive for listening to your ad. Calls they would need to pay for otherwise, cost them nothing thanks to you. It puts your ad and company in a positive light, as callers feel they receive a real value from you, something they can even put a dollar amount to. It's like being paid to listen to your ad. We call it 'positive advertising'.

Unlike with traditional forms of advertising, with My Free Telecom™ you can measure exactly how many people listened to your ad, and even set it on daily or hourly basis. At very competitive price, your message could be delivered to thousands of callers per day, all of them being your potential customers.

Frequently asked questions

How does it work ?

Callers have to dial our switch access number: 416-255-5800 in order to make free calls. They follow simple instructions to enter the telephone number they want to call. They can enter any number within the supported service area. Your message is played after the phone entry, telling them that you are sponsoring this call, and advertising your company, product or service. Calls are connected after your entire message is played (skip option is disabled), and callers can talk as long as they want without any interruptions.

Do they listen to my message ?

Callers receive a real value from you in exchange for listening to your message - free long distance calls, something they can even put a dollars amount to. That's why most callers accept and listen   to your message, and even feel like being paid by you to listen to your message.

After your message is played, we ask callers to press a digit before connecting their calls. We ask for different digit for each call (randomly selected). Callers have only few seconds to press the digit we ask for, and if they don't, or press any other digit, the calls are not connected. This makes sure that callers are always close to the phone, listen to your message and pay attention, instead of, for example, putting phone down and just waiting for calls to be automatically connected.

What about automated dialing machines ?

We don't allow callers to use automated dialing machines (for example: autodialers used by telemarketers). This is another reason why we ask callers to press a randomly selected digit after playing your message and before connecting their calls. Once it's very easy for humans, it is impossible for an automated dialing machine to recognize and emulate the digit we ask for (which is different for each call).

Do I have to advertise your service ?

Not at all. It is our job to advertise My Free Telecom™ free long distance service and have as many callers as possible. You don't have to do anything on this part.

Do you play messages from other sponsors at the same time ?

Yes, but we only play one message per call. If we have more than one sponsor advertising during the same period of time, your message is played in equal, circular order with messages from any other sponsors, but individual callers hear only one message per call (either yours or somebody else's). If you want only your message to be played for the entire day, you can consider to sponsor the whole day or days (see below - exclusive use).

More advertising information

Use our Customer Service

We are ready to help you to make it as easy as possible for callers to contact you. After all, all of them are your potential customers. That's why we allow you to direct them in your message to our Customer Service (by pressing 0 on the main menu), as one of the contact method. If some callers heard your message but didn't remember your company name or telephone number, or want to contact you after a long period of time, they can always contact our Customer Service and we will gladly provide this information on your behalf. We also inform our callers that they can always contact our Customer Service about our advertising sponsors.

Use our Internet Web site

You can post one page of information about your company, products and services, and how to contact you in our Sponsors section on this Web site. You can direct callers to this page in your advertisement message, if you wish. Your Internet page Web address will be www.myfreetelecom.com/yourname, and we will even build this page for you. As with our Customer Service, you can make our Internet Web site working for you as well.

Your advertisement message

It's up to you what you want to say in your message. It could be a simple spoken message (text over), or an audio production combining text, music and sound effects. You message should not be longer than 30 seconds. We can help you professionally record your message (in the radio studio), or you can do it yourself, but as long as your recording quality meets our standards. We accept any recording formats (audio tape, DAT, CD, wave file, ulaw file, etc). We allow you to say "Your call is sponsored by..." (or similar) in your message to tell the callers that it's you who pays for their calls.

Impressions

You have to determine how many impressions you want to have. Every time your message is played - we call it one impression. There in no minimum to order. To receive a reasonable response, however, we suggest a minimum of 3,000 - 5,000 impressions should be considered.

Define you own schedule

You can choose how to distribute your impressions by defining the weekly schedule. You can set how many impressions you want to have within each day of week, or even go one level down by defining how many impressions you want within each hour of each day. You can decide to advertise only within certain days of the week, or only within certain hours. This flexibility can be used, for example, for advertising fast food restaurants during lunch hours on business days only.

Sponsor the whole day(s) - exclusive use

You can sponsor the whole day(s). In this case only your message will be played for the entire day, week, or month, for every single call made, and you can record it like: "this day has been sponsored by ..." (or similar). It will make even bigger impression on the callers. There are some restrictions, however: there should be no other sponsor booked for this day yet (even in the regular, shared fashion), and you have to accept all impressions on that day (estimate can be provided).

The cost

The cost of your advertisement campaign with My Free Telecom™ is based on number of played messages. With My Free Telecom™ service you will always know exactly how many people listened to your message, and you will never pay for advertisement nobody even looked at. At the end of your campaign (or on weekly basis, if required) you will receive detailed report of all impressions played, broken down by days of the week, and broken down by hours within each day. The total number of played messages will be calculated and multiplied by the individual message cost.
